CANOE SLALOM 2000 IN BOURG-ST-MAURICE / FRANCE -- NEW ICF
HEADQUARTER IN MADRID / SPAIN

1) The Canoe Slalom Course in Penrith / Australien for the 2000
Sydney Olympic Games is now open. This construction was done as a

Canoeing has contributed 25% to the total costs of 6'000'000 AUS$.

The Board of Directors of the International Canoe Federation (ICF)
with President Ulrich Feldhoff (De) has, at its Meeting in Madrid
(Sp), made the following important decisions:

2) On the recommendation of AGFIS, Dragonboat, Rafting, Outrigger,
Kayak-Surf and Waveski are now recognised canoe disciplines of the
ICF. This was a unanimous decision of the ICF Board in Madrid.

3) The Slalom World Championships 2002 has been awarded to
Bourg-St-Maurice Les Arc (Savoie / France). They beat a strong
proposal from Prague (CZE). This event is programmed for July
2002.
