 World Championships Canoe / Kayak Slalom Racing at the Ocoee River
      Ducktown TN / USA (September 19 - 23, 2001, cancelled!!!

Due to the terrorist attaks in the United States of America, the
International Canoe Federation (ICF) has cancelled the 2001 Canoe /
Kayak Slalom Racing World Championships on Tennessee's Ocoee River
near Ducktown TN / USA. The Worlds should be held September 19 - 23
on the Slalom Course of the Olympic Games Atlanta 1996. This decision
was taken by the ICF and the local organizers because the safety of
the athletes, staff, and spectators cannot be guaranteed.
