WORLD CUP RULES CANOE SLALOM (WCS)

Categories:

Men.   Kayak (K-1), Canoe Single (C-1), Canoe Double (C-2)
Women. Kayak Single (K-1).  

Point System (all categories). Each of the participating competitors
receive points in the World Cup as follows:

   Final: 1st= 30 points, 2nd= 25, 3rd= 20, 4th= 18, 5th= 17, 6th=
16, 7th= 15, 8th= 14, 9th= 13, 10th= 12; Semifinal: 11th= 10, 12th=
9,  13th= 8, 14th= 7, 15th= 6; 
then all others competitors in Semifinal= 5;  
then all boats that do not qualify for the Semifinal=2;  

except boats = that finish DNF receive=1; those boats
that receive DSQ-C and DNS-C = receive=0 points.  

For the final competition and in the Final every year the points
will be multiplied by 1.5; the number of designated events is one
less than the number of World Cups Slalom Racing in that year;
if an athlete competes in all World Cups than his/her worst result
is excluded from the calculation of the over all World Cup in
Canoe/Kayak Slalom Racing. The competitor with the highest total
points are the Winner of the World Cup in his/her event.
