WORLD CUP RULES CANOE SLALOM (WCS)

Categories:

Men.   Kayak (K-1), Canoe Single (C-1), Canoe Double (C-2)
Women. Kayak Single (K-1).  

Point System (all categories). Each of the participating competitors
receive points in the World Cup as follows:

 

   Final: 1st=30 points, 2nd=25, 3rd=20, 4th=18, 5th=17, 6th=16,
7th=15, 8th=14, 9th=13, 10th=12; Semifinal: 11th=10, 12th=9,
13th=8, 14th=7, 15th=6;
then all others competitors in Semifinal= 5;
then all boats that do not qualify for the Semifinal= 2; 
except boats that finish DNF receive=1; 
those boats that receive DSQ-C and DNS-C receive=0 points.

For the final competition and in the Final every year the points
will be multiplied by 1.5; the number of designated events is one
less than the number of World Cups Slalom Racing in that year; if
an athlete competes in all World Cups than his/her worst result is
excluded from the calculation of the over all World Cup in
Canoe/Kayak Slalom Racing. The competitor with the highest total
points are the Winner of the World Cup in his/her event.

GuangZhou/CHN; no. 2, July 19-21, Augsburg/GER; no. 3, July 27-28,
Tacen/SLO; no. 4, August 3-4, Prague/CZE; no. 5, September
14-15, Macae/BRA (Final).
