| In the middle of the town founded in 1375 the Nester river separates the Moldavian Otaci from the Ukrainian Mogilöw Podolski. Many Ukrainians settled in Otaci, which shows in Nistru's squad. Most of the 15 000 inhabitants make a living by working in one of the eight factories in the agglomeration. The inhabitants of the two cities share a common culture, even across the border. The club owns a sports school, in which 120 children are being educated and trained. Coach Murachovski was replaced by Anatoli Teslev after 18 months in office. He was a member of the Soviet U18 team which won the European Championship. As a player he was with Nistru and Moldova Kichinev, before coaching the Moldavian national team. The team had problems accepting the new ideas of the coach, not the least because several defenders had left the team shortly before. Moreover, nine team pillars were injured. Under Murachovski the defense was considered an asset, but in the meantime Nistru seems to be stronger in attack. Anyway, their homogenity and the excellent team spirit are the characteristics of the team at the moment. The UEFA Intertoto games Otaci will be moved to the country capital Kichinev. | |
| Mitten in der 1375 erbauten Stadt zieht der Fluss Nester die Grenze zwischen dem moldawischen Otaci und dem ukrainischen Mogilöw Podolski. In Otaci haben sich viele Ukrainer niedergelassen, was sich auch im Kader Nistrus niederschlägt. Die Meisten der 15'000 Einwohner verdienen ihren Lebensunterhalt in einer der acht Fabriken der Agglomeration. Über die Grenzen hinweg fühlen sich die Einwohner beider Stadtteile kulturell verbunden. Der Verein unterhält ein eigenes Sportinstitut, in dem 120 Kinder erzogen und fussballerisch weiter gebildet werden. Nach 18monatiger Amtszeit wurde Trainer Murachowski Ende April durch Anatoli Teslew ersetzt. 1968 gewann er mit der Sowjetunion die U18-Europameisterschaft. Als Aktiver war er bei Nistru und Moldowa Kischinew tätig, später stand er dem moldawischen Nationalteam vor. Die Ideen des neuen Trainers machten Nistru vorerst zu schaffen, auch weil kurz zuvor mehrere Verteidiger den Klub verlassen hatten. Hinzu kamen die Verletzungen von neun Stammspielern. Unter Murachowski galt die Abwehr als stärkster Punkt des Teams, unterdessen liegen die Vorteile Nistrus eher im Sturm. Der mannschaftliche Geschlossenheit und der hervorragende Teamgeist zeichnen Nistru derzeit aus. Im UEFA-Intertoto-Cup wird Otaci mit den Heimspielen in die Hauptstadt Kischinew ausweichen. | |
