It was not before the quarter finals that Odense was stopped by Parma (0:1/0:0). Ever since, however, the Boldclub has gone through difficult times, rarely did a coach survive an entire season. Although the club was immediately re-promoted after the 1999 relegation, it never made it back among the top teams. OB plans to go public in order to get more money. The internationally renowned players of the current team are Soeren Andersen and Per Pedersen. Andersen played for Vallecano and Bristol, while Pedersen earned his money in Blackburn, Mönchengladbach and Strasbourg. Coach Troels Bech (34) survived his first year unscathed. He is only a few years older than his team pillars, which are, besides Andersen and Pedersen, the Hemmingsen brothers Carsten and Michael. The latter is considered a model football professional. Noch heute erzählen sie in Odense vom UEFA-Cuperfolg anno 1994 im Bernabeu-Stadion. Nach einer 2:3-Heimniederlage wurde Real Madrid damals dank eines 2:0-Siegs eliminiert. Zwar stieg Odense 1999 nach dem Fall in die zweite Klasse gleich wieder auf, fand aber den Anschluss an die Spitze nicht wieder. Um zu mehr Geld zu kommen, plant OB den Gang an die Börse. Von der aktuellen Mannschaft sind international Soeren Andersen und Per Pedersen bekannt. Andersen stürmte einst für Vallecano und Bristol, Pedersen verdiente sein Geld in Blackburn, Mönchengladbach und Strassburg. Trainer Troels Bech (34) hat sein erstes Amtsjahr "unbeschadet" überstanden. Er ist nur unwesentlich älter als seine Leistungsträger, zu denen neben Andersen und Pedersen auch die Gebrüder Carsten und Michael Hemmingsen gehören. Als Vorzeigeprofi gilt insbesondere Libero Michael.
