The main sources of income of the 11 500 inhabitants are the logging and the food industry. The club was founded in 1922 under the name of Dyscobolia as the successor of the catholic workers' club SV Celeritas. Later they merged with Florenica. Today it is the car company Inter Groclin that sponsors the football club, which was promoted to the highest league in 1997 for the first time in its history. The management plans to invest 4.8 million Swiss Francs into a new floodlight equipment and a new grand stand. It has not been decided yet whether the UIC matches will be played at home or in Lubin. Er löste im Mai Janusz Bialek ab. Mit acht Toren war Mittelfeldspieler Krzysztof Klosinsky letzte Saison der beste Skorer. Die Leistungen der Mannschaft hingen stark von den Routiniers Bogdan Prusek und Tomek Rybarcyk ab. Dieser hat sich Ende Mai schwer verletzt und fällt lange aus.
